Tschichold in Avenir
I created this booklet as an assignment in my Typography 201 class at Delaware College of Art and Design. We were instructed to choose a typeface and then create a Type Specimen Book in order to showcase and sell the typeface to other designers. The entire book had to be designed following the guidelines of famous typographer and graphic designer, Jan Tschichold. I researched Tschichold's modern philosophy of design and used what I learned to create this specimen book about the typeface Avenir, designed by Adrian Frutiger. All of the photos in this book are original photographs that I took throughout the year in my Photography class that I thought worked well with Jan Tschichold's design sensibility.
